The T3 props up the XC40 range in South Africa, starting at R486 000 for the Manual Momentum spec, and rising to R525 300 for the Manual R-Design model.

Overall, the small SUV tops out at R644 100 for the T5 Geartronic AWD R-Design spec.

However, the model’s local lineup is set to grow even further.

The Swedish automaker confirmed that it is developing a “pure electric powertrain” variant of the XC40, which will be the company’s first all-electric car. It’s not yet clear if that model will also be heading to South Africa.
